Hi, welcome you and thank you for coming to view this topic. To memorize my work as an underwear merchandiser and base on the principle of sharing and exchanging the knowledge, I’d like to summarize and share with you below things. I am planning to write down what I’ve experienced or every little thing I just know to help you to understand and know this industry and related job things. These things may involve basic construction, history, paper pattern, QA as well as job things of purchaser and merchandiser and sooooo on. Hope this will be the best special underwear book you’ve ever read. Since what any single man knows is very limited, I welcome everyone to correct me and ask any question if you have. Besides I am trying to describe all things in English which will make the project more difficult to deal with, so please be patient and tolerant. Well, let’s begin!

For some special instruction,
1, I am trying to draw most of the pictures I use by myself. I may use Microsoft paint or CD to finish the pictures. Please kindly advise me if there is some points I need to improve as I am just a new self- learner for the computer drawing.
2, Sorry to forget to tell all my male bros, I just know the things on female underwear. If you like or need, I’d like to find some material as complementary for this topic when I finished female part.

Part 0 Basic words and expressions
In this part I am going to give you some basic words and expressions for some basic style to make you have an overall concept of the underwear. Please note I will just list some basic words we usually use. For some special words, I may explain them separately or when we meet in the next pages.
超细纤维面料：Micro - Micro fabric; Customers usually like to use the abb. of Micro such as Embroidery on micro
下腳闊/下胸围：Under bust width/ Bottom width/Chest
面料/主布/面布：Fabric/ Shell fabric
绣花/刺绣：Embroidery
硬纱/定型纱：Rigid mesh; some customer may say stabilizer.
坐圍：Hip
软纱：Soft Mesh
弹力网布/网布：Elastic mesh/Mesh, we usually only use elastic mesh for underwear
肩带：Shoulder strap, could be abbreviated as S/Strap
钢圈捆：Wire channel
背扣/背勾：Hook & eye
圈八扣/O8扣:Ring and Slider
PP线：PP thread
尼龙丝：Nylon thread
织唛: Woven label
烫唛：Heat transfer label
吊牌：Hangtag
胶袋：Polybag

If I have more time, I will try AI. By the way, seems you, and 豆豆 are professional in design. Wish I could learn more from you when available. Hehe!

For sketch, ofcourse we will need. I will upload some tomorrow or later to illustrate the size charts.

Learn form each other la. I am just trying to do this. In fact that is a really hard job for me and I can not tell that when I could finish it because I can only write something after work.
